It's a situation! - The FIFTH post

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great week! This week I'm going to talk about one of my favorite forms of exercise, my trip to Boston and Nantucket, and some of my favorite things!

Health

A workout (yes, workout) that I actually discovered recently because of COVID… is WALKING! We obviously couldn't go to any gyms, and I couldn’t go run stairs because the stadium was closed. I wound up doing a lot of research on simply walking. And actually, walking is the ONLY workout I did to get ready for filming season five of The Real Housewives of Dallas!

What I found in my research was that it’s important to walk at a fast pace for about an hour and a half to really have it count as a workout and burn calories. I found that I actually got in amazing shape walking four to five times a week. I was walking an hour and a half to three hours those days at a really fast pace. Of course, I had nothing else going on... so it was easy to achieve that goal. But, I discovered walking is an amazing exercise, I hate running, so you don’t have to run at all, just walk. Find a walking buddy, in the mornings or afternoons, your time will go by so fast and before you know it you will have done an amazing workout.

Since COVID lockdown I try to for sure implement walking into my workout routine and just in daily life. I still walk three to four times a week, even if it's on top of another workout. Even professional athletes will tell you if you get in above 10,000 steps a day you don't have to do cardio! I hope you try it out and love it as much as I do, try to walk three or four times a week for a few weeks and see the results! Happy walking!

Travel

On my next adventure, a girlfriend’s birthday trip with some sweet friends took me to Boston and Nantucket in Massachusets. I had never been before! This was my first time to visit a beautiful part of our country and it did not disappoint. I was only in Boston for a couple days, but it is a place I definitely cannot wait to go back to. It is so beautiful and such a picturesque city. It reminded me of New York but so clean, with amazing restaurants, and all the people were so nice. I just fell in love with Boston and I cannot wait to visit again.

From Boston we drove to Cape Code where we ended up taking a ferry to Nantucket Island. The drive from Boston to Cape Cod takes about an hour and a half depending on traffic, then there is a 45-minute ferry ride to get to Nantucket. I am just going to tell you... from the moment we stepped off of that ferry I was just in AWE with Nantucket. I felt like I just landed in a fairytale book and everything was SO cute and perfect. All these cute little stores and restaurants, the streets are pebbled. It's like stepping into a movie. You walk everywhere, it’s a small little island and it has so many special places to go and things to see.

If there is one thing to do in Nantucket… this is your must-do. You cannot leave Nantucket without having a Lobster Roll from Cru Nantucket. It was the best thing I ate the whole trip.

One of my favorite restaurants in Boston was Lolita Cocina, it was great food, great ambiance, it’s a laid-back lounge-y vibe, and we had a great time.

Galley Beach is so cool to go to for a sunset dinner on the ocean. The food is awesome, and the views are even better.

Favorites

One of my favorite stones that I work with and am continuing to make new designs with is Moonstone, it comes in a lot of different shapes and colors. Normally it’s not as white, it comes more gray and pink… it has a beautiful sparkle to it that makes any piece of jewelry look incredible. Moonstone is a stone of inner growth and strength. It soothes emotional instability and stress and stabilizes emotions, providing calmness. You can shop all of the KAMO by Kary Moonstone pieces below!

Another thing that I love and use every single morning and night is the Acure Brightening Facial Scrub exfoliator. I love it because it takes away all the impurities of your skin, it makes my skin glow and makes it feel so soft. I can’t live without it, check it out, you guys!

Well, that's my Situation for the week! If there is anything you ever want to know or want me to talk about, reply and let me know! Always looking for new topics to discuss. Wishing you all a great weekend as it cools off in Texas!

Big Kiss
